Discovery Link Usage

Discovery Link is Denver Public Schools’ official afterschool program. We offer quality programming before and after school, during school breaks and on school dismissal days at over 40 sites across the district.  Our programs run from 6:30am until the school bell rings in the morning, and in the afternoon from dismissal time until 6:00pm.  Discovery Link will offer full-day summer programming at 11 sites in 2017.

At many of our sites, the Department of Extended Learning works with enrichment programs and community partners to provide a variety of engaging experiences for our students.  Please click HERE to learn more about our Neighborhood Centers.

FEE STRUCTURE CHANGE-SCHOOL YEAR 18-19

As Discovery Link continues to focus on the quality of our programs and enriching experiences for children, our sites have seen increased costs in staffing, supplies and 21st Century Relevant programming. We have also received a great deal of feedback about our incredibly complex fee schedule.

Due to the reasons above and after a thorough market analysis, we recommended and received approval from the Board of Education in February for the below fee structure. Even with these increases, the cost of Discovery Link is still below all similar Districts in Denver-metro.

Beginning in August 2018, Discovery Link sites fee structure will be

Sites Daily Fee a.m. programming Daily Fee p.m. programming
Bromwell, C3, CEE, Denver Language, Isabella Bird, Lowry, McMeen, Park Hill, Roberts, Sabin, Sandra Todd, Slavens, Steck, Steele, Teller

Bradley, Brown, Carson, Cory, Edison, Lincoln, Polaris at Ebert, Sandoval, Southmoor, Swigert, University Park, Valdez, Westerly Creek

$8.00 $12.00
Centennial, Denver Green School, Denver Discovery, High Tech, Inspire $5.00 $11.00

This fee structure represents a 6-9% increase across all of our sites. Billing will still occur on a monthly basis and we are confident that this model, which is the most prevalent in Denver-metro, will help ensure the sustainability of our sites and support our quality efforts.

$8.00 $12.00
